I thought your arguments were very persuasive in helping your audience understand the importance of high school sports. It is a subject that many people may not appreciate the importance of and this presentation could assist with that.
I agree that all sports should have equal funding. It is not right to decide that one sport is more important than another because any sport can teach students leadership and teamwork skills. Hopefully this trend will change.
I like your project a lot. I can see how it applies to my high school and also to the collegiate level. Are there schools that have adopted your approach?
Do you think some schools would have a problem funding their other sports if the big sports which can actually bring in money aren't funded enough to do so.
I agree that sports teach things that can't be learned in a classroom, and as a member of one of the teams that was overshadowed by the big money programs, I saw how your proposal to fund them equally held weight.
This was a large problem at my school, and really affected a lot of the students. I really think you did a good job at convincing your specific audience on the importance of sports for kids, and why equal funding for sports need to be at every high school.
Playing sports in high school, I am completely with you on equal funding. Though track and field was never in danger of being removed, other sports were like Badminton, Ping Pong, Polo, Lacrosse, Hockey, etc. There needs to be more of an interest and a mind to put money towards sports as such and the more popular ones if they have been removed. Where do you think most of the money is going? There are theories of embezzling and fondling...
