My favorite photo was the one with the little boy. I recently went to the aquarium with kids that I babysit for, and they hardly paid attention to any of the fish. They only wanted to see the sharks which are one of the last exhibits. It is sad that aquariums and zoos are supposed to be educational, yet kids and some adults do not take the time to appreciate the information that is there. You had great insights as to problems with zoos, and your passion for this topic showed.

Animals are often overlooked or treated poorly in our society, and you bring attention to an important subject. If the signs in the zoo were better maintained, do you think people would pay attention to them more? The physical condition of the signs seemed to be an important concern of yours, but do you think the improvement of them is an important step to reaching your goal?
Your photo essay gives a perspective that you wouldn't be able to see if you had just used words to talk about your topic - the photos give a practical example of how zoos are not always doing what they are designed to do, which is to educate.
