The process of
writing for this research paper seems like it has gone on forever. This is both
a good and bad thing. I think that we have been given PLENTY of time to
complete each step of the writing process, but because of that, this paper
feels like it is never ending. I have learned a lot through this whole process
though. I have learned about how to write a good argument. This is imperative
to writing a good paper in general. They
Say, I Say has been very helpful with this. The paradigms have been so
helpful when introducing quotes, introducing a naysayer, and putting your own
input in. I didn’t enjoy reading the book, but since I have started writing it has been
very helpful. I think this resource is very helpful because it condenses all
the aspects needed in a good paper into one, easy to reference book. It put a
lot of things I already knew into one book and also explained why these are so
important to writing a good paper.
One thing I would change
is to add a few smaller writing assignments before the big research paper. I don’t
know how Mr. S grades, and that is kind of terrifying. I think if there were
some smaller papers before this one, I would have a good idea of what he is
looking for, and that would put me at ease.
Overall, I think this writing process has gone pretty well. We have
been equipped wonderful resources, a teacher willing to work with us, and
plenty of time to meet due dates.
I totally agree in that this paper has taught me how to write a good argument.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is possible this essay was stretched over a period of time that seemed to last too long.
ReplyDeleteI agree, this paper has been very helpful for arguments. It had been very long, but i good process.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that it seems like this paper has been going on for a long time, but I think it has helped me develop a good argument and find valid points to support it, and has allowed me to make changes to my paper to make it better.
