- There's certain things people only trust people to do
- i.e. writing literature-- it's more personal with a human's emotions, rather a computer stringing together words.
Cons:
- With parents being basic providers for education, we need to push for more technical tasks.
- You can have creative skills without having a "romantic" education.
- Computers specifically aid in the world of finance and law.
- We need computers to advance in this world.
- The employment rate is low for "romantic majors".
- Not practical
- There needs to be a necessity for areas of pragmatism to give way to the errors of idealism.
- Not all humans have the ability to function in a group and have cognitive skills.
- Human emotion can get in the way of advancement.
- Humans have a limited amount of memory, whereas, computers can compute and memorize in seconds.
Moderator:
- You don't need to be a romantic or a nontechnical major to have any of the empathic skills mentioned.
- There are certain jobs that computers can do, but there are also jobs that humans should do.
- i.e. It's okay for computers to be cashiers, but humans should be authors to books.
- It doesn't need to be one or the other.
- We live in a society where technology doesn't need to be just as important as human interaction but is still present.
- Humans need to maintain current technology and design future advancements.
- We aren't in a place where technology can be autonomous.
