Arguments in Agreement & Counterarguements

Other teams first argument:  When you read a book you don't directly experience anything.
Our argument:  When you read a book, the plot often parrallels in some way to your life.  You can learn from the book because you follow along with the characters as they resolve their problem.

Other team: Books can make you antisocial and conceded.
Our argument:  Video games, online games, TV and movies can do the same thing.  Kids nowadays are often inside with a screen as opposed to outside with a a book.  Book clubs are a good social event to attend.

Our:  Books are better than other forms of reading because there is less distraction on the sides.  When you watch news reports or read about stuff online there are commercials, ads, etc that distract from the actual point of the article.
Other:  Those distractions often add to the argument. They relate to the article you are reading.
